Formations is a collaborative installation between myself and Emma Brown, an artist involved in vintage photographic processes. It features six large cyanotypes and acousmatic music formed of six generative and cycle-based layers, arranged into six spatially-spread mono mixes. Each layer relates to various techniques used in the cyanotypes and each mix can be experienced individually in close-up detail or centrally for a more complete perspective. The excerpt of audio presented here is based on this central perspective.
