Liquidity builds an iterative sonic sculpture from foreign exchange market data, using one pair of currencies at a time as a source. This data is supplied as two API streams from LMAX Group which are refreshed every few seconds then parsed, processed and sonified using MaxMSP. It incorporates additive synthesis, feedback methods and stochastic processes to aestheticise the market’s behaviour and interrogate its relationships with disorder and uncertainty.

First exhibited privately at Plaisterer’s Hall, London in Oct 2025.
